Meta turned on default-restricted teen content settings worldwide across Instagram, Facebook, and Messenger, with parents required to approve changes. Florida AG Uthmeier became the first state to sue OpenAI over child safety risks from ChatGPT. Roblox rolled out Kids (ages 5 to 8) and Select (ages 9 to 15) accounts globally. The House introduced the companion to the Kids Off Social Media Act. At least 14 states are now extending child safety laws to AI chatbots.
